IEDC MESCE victoriously conducted its 3 day flagship event Inspiria ’23 that lit the torch on 10th February 2023 and drew to a close on 12th February 2023 at MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram. It was a much awaited event for both the volunteers as well as delegates and it bore fruit as the third day wrapped up with wide smiles and emotional goodbyes.
The first day started off with a social experiment from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm. The inauguration was held from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm with Prof. Vishal S.G, Nodal Officer, IEDC MESCE, giving the welcome address. Dr. Rahumathunza, Principal, MESCE, delivered the presidential address. The inaugural address was given by Mr. K.V. Habeebullah Secretary, MESCE, after which Dr. Issac George, Asst. Nodal Officer, IEDC MESCE, addressed the occasion. Ms. Reema Shaji, CEO, IEDC MESCE gave the annual report briefing of IEDC. Finally, Ms. Najiha Noorudheen, Chief Community Manager, IEDC MESCE, delivered the vote of thanks.
After the inauguration, the first session was an ice-breaking session named The Sorting Hat, handled by Mr. Shakeel Ahammed, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. After a quick tea break, Mr. Moosa Mehr held a session named Diagon Alley from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Then, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Ms. Aparna Mulberry captivated the students through an engaging and interactive session Expelliarmus. To lift the students’ spirit, from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm, there were beautiful performances by the Band MESCE under the title Hogwarts Harmonies and a fun game session – Chamber of Secrets for the potterheads. The night ended with a grand Yule Ball, from 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm, after which the day concluded with dinner.
The second day started off with a plethora of innovative workshops from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. After a short tea break and photo session, Expecto Patronum, an informative and interesting session on entrepreneurship, was conducted by Mr. Umer Abdussalam. After a break, an energetic DJ Night, Goblet of Fire, got everyone moving to the tunes. The day ended with a grand dinner enjoyed by all.
The last day commenced at 9:30 am with Order of the Phoenix, which was an inspiring and eye-opening session by Mr. Abhijith Ajikumar, representative from Genrobotics. From 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, there was an intense Tri Wizards Championship, a set of games that thrilled the delegates to the core. After lunch, there was an interesting mentalism show Imperio stirred by Mr. Jishnu. It captivated the delegates and left them in a daze. Later, there was a moving valedictory ceremony Last Horcrux from 3:00 pm to 4:30pm. Finally, the day ended with a feedback and photo session, Lumos, from 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm. In conclusion, Inspiria ‘23 inspired young minds and set the stage for entrepreneurs as well as innovators to pursue their passions. There were about 91 delegates and 45 volunteers, all of whom were active participants throughout the 3 days. The volunteers’ hard-work paid off as the event became one among the chapters of cherished memories.
