INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP FACILITY VISIT BY KMEA ENGINEERING COLLEGE

The Women Entrepreneurs group under the IEDC KMEA Engineering College, Aluva, recently made a visit to the WOW IEDC at MES College of Engineering on October 15th, 2022. The purpose of the visit was to gain insight into the functioning of the IEDC MESCE and the women-oriented activities that it offers.

Upon arrival, the members of the IEDC MESCE EXECOM welcomed the visitors and engaged in interactive discussions with the members of IEDC KMEA. The EXECOM members explained the various activities that are conducted by the IEDC MESCE and how it is organized. They also spoke about the initiatives that are undertaken to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among women.

The visitors were then taken on a tour of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship facilities at MESCE. This included a visit to the TBI (Technology Business Incubator) and the Mini Fab Lab. The TBI at MESCE provides a supportive ecosystem for start-ups and entrepreneurs to help them grow and succeed. The visitors were introduced to the various advanced machines and equipment available at the Mini Fab Lab, which is a state-of-the-art facility that provides a platform for students to develop their prototyping and manufacturing skills.

During the visit, the members of IEDC KMEA were impressed with the facilities and the opportunities available at the IEDC MESCE. They were particularly interested in the programs that are offered to support women entrepreneurs. The EXECOM members explained that the IEDC MESCE conducts various workshops, training programs, and events to help women entrepreneurs build their skills, network, and succeed in the business world.

In addition, the visitors were also introduced to the various initiatives that the IEDC MESCE has taken to support women entrepreneurs. These initiatives include providing mentorship and guidance, access to funding and investment opportunities, and support for product development and market entry.

At the end of the visit, the members of IEDC KMEA were extremely satisfied with the information and knowledge they had gained. They appreciated the effort taken by the EXECOM members of the IEDC MESCE to provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of the IEDC MESCE and its initiatives to support women entrepreneurs.

In conclusion, the visit by the members of IEDC KMEA to the IEDC MESCE was a valuable experience. It provided them with a better understanding of the opportunities available for women entrepreneurs and the support systems that are in place to help them succeed. The visit also reinforced the importance of fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among women and the role that institutions such as the IEDC MESCE can play in this regard.
