As part of International Women’s Day celebrations IEDC MESCE conducted a 90 min workshop #IamRemarkable on 10-March-2020 from 03:00pm-04:30pm at CSE seminar Hall.#IamRemarkable is a Google initiative empowering women and underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond.The session was handled by #IamRemarkable facilitator Jazeela p,a final year computer science engineering student of the college. .Around 30 girls from various departments were the participants.
The objective of the session was to make girls understand about the way in which they are Remarkable.It was an interactive session.The workshop highlighted the participants’ importance of self promotion in their careers and provided them with the tools to practice this skill.The initiative motivates participants to promote themselves in front of peers and management, thereby breaking gender-related modesty norms and glass ceilings.The participants were divided into groups and volunteers were assigned to each group. Each one of them were asked to speak about their accomplishments starting each one with “I am remarkable because.”
The session winded up by 04:30 pm.Best Performance awards were given to the participants.It was taken over by Amal,SonaShaukath and Safwana.
