Event Report: “Research the Market” Workshop

The “Research the Market” workshop was held as a part of the “Entrepreneurial Odyssey”
workshop series organized by the IEDC at MES College of Engineering in association with
Institution’s Innovation Council. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Arun S, Assistant
Professor at MES College of Engineering.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of market research
and its importance in the entrepreneurial process. The attendees were provided with the
knowledge and skills necessary to conduct market research and gather relevant data to validate
their business ideas.
The workshop began with an introduction by Mr. Arun, who provided an overview of the topics
that would be covered throughout the day. He emphasized the importance of market research in
the entrepreneurial process and how it can be used to validate business ideas and make informed
decisions.
The attendees were then taught various research methods such as surveys, interviews, and
secondary research. They were also provided with tips on how to conduct market research and
gather relevant data. Additionally, Mr. Arun also explained about how to analyze and interpret
the data to make sense of it.
The attendees were given the opportunity to conduct market research on their own business ideas
and present their findings to the group. The workshop ended with a Q&A session where the
attendees had the opportunity to ask any questions they had and receive further guidance from
Mr. Arun.
Overall, the workshop was highly interactive and provided valuable insights and guidance to the
participants. Attendees expressed their satisfaction with the event and reported that they have
gained good knowledge on how to conduct market research and gather relevant data to validate
their business ideas.
