Connected Things

On Saturday, 16th March, the IoT Lab of MESCE under the ECE Dept, in collaboration with SDC MESCE, IEDC MESCE, MATRICS, and AECE MESCE, orchestrated a transformative one-day workshop titled ‘Introduction to IoT.’ This initiative aimed to enrich the knowledge and understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT) among S6 B.Tech students, offering them a glimpse into the boundless potential of this cutting-edge technology.

As the clock struck 9:30 am, the IoT Lab within the ECE Dept transformed into a hub of innovation and discovery, eagerly awaiting the arrival of participants. With 53 eager minds in attendance, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation and excitement, setting the stagefor a day filled with enlightenment and exploration.


Led by Mr. Ajin P Joesph, ATAL LAB Instructor, MES Central School, Tirur, the
workshop commenced with an engaging introduction to the fundamental concepts of IoT.
Participants were introduced to the intricate ecosystem of interconnected devices, sensors,
and networks that form the backbone of IoT technology, gaining insight into its myriad
applications and implications for the future.


Through a series of interactive sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and insightful discussions,
attendees delved deep into the practical aspects of IoT, exploring its real-world applications
across various domains such as healthcare, agriculture, transportation, and smart cities.
The workshop also provided a platform for networking and collaboration, fostering
meaningful connections among participants and industry experts alike. As ideas were
exchanged and insights shared, a sense of camaraderie and mutual learning permeated the
event, enriching the collective experience and reinforcing the spirit of innovation and
collaboration that defines the MESCE community.
